Resize a cookie cutter STL to the exact size

Upload a cookie cutter STL you already have, type the size you want in inches or millimetres and download it again. The cutting opening is measured, so the size is the cookie you get.

How it works

    Up to 20 MB and 200,000 triangles.

  2. Type the new size

    Width and length, linked or separate, in inches or mm.

  3. Download it

    Same height and construction, new size. Your file is never stored.

Why not just scale it in the slicer?

Scaling a cutter in a slicer scales everything: make it 50% bigger and the cutting edge, walls and height get 50% thicker and taller too. Here the size you type is the cutting opening, inside edge to inside edge, so you know exactly how big the cookie will be.

Your file stays private

Imported STLs are kept only in memory while you work and are deleted when you close them, after 10 idle minutes, or after 30 minutes at most. They are never saved to your account unless you choose to save the outline.

Questions

Will resizing make my cutter walls thicker?

No. The original cutter keeps its height and construction; only the outline changes size. Converted cutters use the standard 0.8 mm cutting wall and 0.6 mm edge at any size.

Can I change only the width or only the length?

Yes. Width and length are linked by default so the shape keeps its proportions; unlink them to stretch one way.

Why was my STL rejected?

The tool needs an identifiable cutting edge to measure. Files that are not cookie cutters, are broken, or are over 20 MB or 200,000 triangles are turned away.

Is it free?

Making and previewing a cutter is free, with no account. Downloading a single cutter needs a free account. Free members also get 3 set downloads, 3 named cutters and 3 box plans every 30 days; Premium ($12.99 a month or $99 a year) makes those unlimited.
